See what we've been up to and hear from our partners as we work to transform O&P — one clinic at a time.

Founded in Fargo.

Where we started

Founded from a university engineering project aiming to design a 3D printed myoelectric arm, Protosthetics quickly realized that O&P was just as excited aboutgetting the benefits of 3D printing for existing products as looking forsomething new.

Protosthetics launched as a Fargo, ND based central fabrication facility in 2016, and pivoted that knowledge base into an end-to-end in-clinic 3D printing solution, Galileo, in early 2021. Galileo has since become the core of the Protosthetics business, aimed to address the adoption and operational hurdles clinics face when introducing & scaling 3D printing workflows inside their clinic.

how we got here

Protosthetics has worked hand-in-hand with hundreds of O&P practices worldwide, alongside over 1,000 certified prosthetic and orthotic professionals, to deliver nearly 50,000 custom O&P products – the vast majority printed onsite at Galileo user clinics. It’s through these direct partnerships with exceptional patient care facilities that Protosthetics is able to drive its mission:

Make proven digital workflows more accessible for O&P practices across the globe – empowering clinicians to provide the highest quality of care outcomes, without sacrificing the ease of patient care journeys.

where we're going

At Protosthetics, our North Star is a stellar customer experience. Everything we do is laser focused on improving the customer experience with simple ordering, comprehensive and friendly customer support, excellent product design, and everything in between.

Technology is a huge part of our continous improvement. Ultimately though, it's the people that make up our team, who are driven to deliver excellence, that make all the difference. We'd love a chance to work with you and show you what it's like to be part of the Protosthetics family.

"I've been working with Protosthetics since the beginning of my career and they are amazing to work with. I started off having them provide me with 3D printed diagnostic sockets with the diamond openings and now they are my go to for definitive work as well and the products I've gotten from them are fantastic. Highly recommend!"

I've been ordering the Protosthetics pectus braces for years, and they've been the best solution we've found for our patients. The custom design of the entire brace makes a real difference in patient compliance, and it's always a pleasure working with their product engineering team to get exactly what I want.

"When I discovered Protosthetics' pectus brace, I was in search of a pectus brace that our patients could tolerate, and spend the time in the brace necessary to resolve the problem. Protosthetics' pectus brace is the only brace that provides the comfort and function to meet the needs of my patients."
